Track & Field Teams Shine at 2026 Championship Meet

Our student-athletes delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 Track & Field Championship Meet, bringing home individual honors, relay medals, and team championships.

The 5th/6th Grade Girls Team earned a strong sixth-place finish. Ganesa T. placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 20 feet, 9 inches, while Alyssa P. finished eighth in the long jump with a leap of 10 feet, 5 inches. Kaedyn P. earned seventh place in the 800-meter run. The 4x100-meter relay team of Sy'Meir, Reign, Te'rae, and Dylan placed fourth, while the 4x400-meter relay team of Te'rae, Ganesa, Dylan, and Faith finished sixth.

The 7th/8th Grade Boys Team capped off an impressive season by finishing as Championship Runner-Ups, earning second place overall. Aaron D. placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 26 feet, 11 inches, while Marquell M. finished fifth with a throw of 25 feet, 5 inches. Decary J. earned sixth place in the long jump, and Amir T. finished fourth in the 800-meter run. Austin M. captured third place in the 200-meter dash and fourth in the 400-meter dash. Drake H. led the team with a championship performance in the 200-meter dash, while also placing third in the 400-meter dash and seventh in the 100-meter dash. The boys' 4x100-meter relay team of Aaron, Leonard, Austin, and Drake placed fifth, while the 4x400-meter relay team of Decary, Aaron, Jhermiah, and Amir brought home a second-place finish.

The highlight of the meet came from the 7th/8th Grade Girls Team, who captured the 2026 Track & Field Championship Title with a first-place team finish. Athena B. placed fourth in the shot put, while Daija B. earned fourth place in the 800-meter run. Hayden S. secured second place in the long jump with a jump of 13 feet, 5.75 inches and also placed seventh in the 400-meter dash. Geneva T. won the 800-meter run championship and added a seventh-place finish in the 100-meter dash. London H. dominated the shot put competition with a first-place throw of 27 feet, 3 inches, while also earning fourth place in the 400-meter dash and sixth place in the 200-meter dash. The girls' 4x100-meter relay team of Ciarra, Geneva, London, and Hayden finished second, and the 4x400-meter relay team of Tamiya, Ciarra, Daija, and Geneva earned third place.

Congratulations to all of our track and field athletes and coaches on an incredible season filled with dedication, perseverance, and success. The athletes' hard work and determination resulted in a championship title for the 7th/8th grade girls, a runner-up finish for the 7th/8th grade boys, and a strong showing from the 5th/6th grade girls. We are incredibly proud of their accomplishments and the way they represented our school throughout the season.
